Robin’s Chocolate Nut Dainties

Makes about 3 dozen
INGREDIENTS
¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon room temp butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups wondra flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
12 oz mini choco chips
1 cup finely chopped nut
additional nuts or sprinkles to garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the Dough
Cream 3/4 cup of the butter, the sugar, salt and vanilla on high speed for a few minutes. Scrape the bowl then add the egg and mix until light and fluffy.
Scrape the bowl then add the wonder, half the chocolate chips (6 ounces) and the chopped nuts.
Mix just to combine.
Using 1-2 tablespoons, roll the dough into logs that are about 2 inches long by 1/2 inch in diameter. Place onto ungreased, parchment lined baking tray and repeat until all the dough is used.
Chill for 30 minutes then bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes.
Allow to cool fully
Dip the Cookies
Melt the remaining chocolate and 1 tablespoon of butter over a double boiler or in microwave.
Dip half of each cookie in the chocolate then return to the baking tray. Dust the cookies with more nuts of sprinkles just before the chocolate sets. Allow chocolate to harden fully before serving.
